Hair Removal Centre Software: Track Every Package Session

Hair Removal Centre Software in Malaysia: How to Record Every Laser and IPL Package Session

Selling 6- or 10-session laser and IPL packages? Record sessions left, consumables and therapist commission in one redemption, so month end adds up.

When owners ask what the best hair removal centre management software in Malaysia is, the real test is what happens each time a customer comes in for one session of a 6- or 10-session laser or IPL package. Good software records three things in that one step: the session is deducted from the package, the consumables are deducted from stock, and the therapist who did the treatment earns her hands-on commission. MyBMS Pro does this with package tracking, BOM double deduction and dual-track commission, so the sessions left, the stock and the commission all agree at month end.

Why one session at a time is where hair removal centres lose track

Hair removal is almost always sold as a package. The customer pays once, then comes back session by session over many weeks. Every visit is a small transaction, and small transactions are easy to skip, delay or write down in the wrong place.

What usually goes wrong:

  • The session count drifts. One session is written in a notebook, the next is forgotten, and the customer remembers a different number from the front desk.
  • Consumables are used but not deducted. Gel, disposables and other in-house items are used every session, but the stock record only changes when someone remembers to update it.
  • Commission is worked out at month end from memory. Nobody is sure which therapist did which session, so the team argues about pay.
  • The machine cost is invisible. The centre knows how much the laser or IPL machine cost, but not what each session really costs to run.

A package is not finished on the day it is sold; it is finished when the last session is done. That is why I suggest getting the remaining-session count right first, because everything else depends on it.

What a hair removal package redemption record should capture

Diagram of four things every hair removal package session should record: sessions left and redemption history, consumables used, who did the session, and machine cost per use

Ask one question of any system you are considering: when the front desk redeems one session, what changes automatically? These are the records that matter.

1. Sessions left and full redemption history

The package record should show how many sessions are left, every session already redeemed, and any outstanding balance if the customer has not paid in full. When the customer asks “how many sessions have I done?”, the front desk should be able to answer from the record, not from memory. For the basics of package tracking, see how to keep remaining sessions and balances accurate.

2. Consumables used in that session

Each treatment uses in-house consumables. If they are deducted at the same moment the session is redeemed, your stock record follows the real number of treatments done. Our guide to treatment BOM and automatic stock deduction explains how a treatment BOM works.

3. Who did the session

Hands-on commission should be triggered by the redemption itself, for the therapist who did that session. Sales commission is separate: it belongs to the person who sold the package and is calculated on the payment actually collected.

4. What the machine costs per use

Laser and IPL machines are a large investment. When every session is recorded, you can see the depreciation cost of each use and the real margin of the treatment. See beauty machine ROI for how to read payback progress.

An example: one session, three records

A customer bought a laser hair removal package at your centre. Today she comes in for her next session.

  • The front desk opens her package and redeems one session. The sessions left update straight away, and the visit is added to her history.
  • At the same time, the consumables set for that treatment are deducted from the branch’s stock.
  • The therapist who did the treatment earns the hands-on commission for that session. The consultant who sold the package keeps the sales commission.

At month end, the owner does not need to rebuild anything. The number of sessions done, the consumables used and the hands-on commission all come from the same redemptions, so they match. If she later wants to continue at another branch, the same package record can be redeemed there too.

Booking the next session is a separate step. Our article on hair removal treatment intervals and reminders covers how to plan and remind every session.

How MyBMS Pro supports hair removal centres

MyBMS Pro is an AI-driven, next-generation SaaS management hub specifically designed for multi-branch beauty salons. For a hair removal centre, these are the features that keep each package session on record:

  • Package tracking. Remaining sessions, redemption history and outstanding balance, with single-session redemption at the same branch or another branch.
  • BOM double deduction. When a bill is closed or a package session is redeemed, the session and the in-house consumables are deducted together.
  • Dual-track commission. Sales commission is tiered on the payment actually collected; hands-on commission is triggered when a session is redeemed or a service is completed.
  • Cross-branch redemption. A package bought at Branch A can be used at Branch B, with sales and hands-on commission routed automatically and a cross-branch settlement report. See cross-branch package redemption.
  • Machine ROI tracking. Depreciation cost per use and true margin, with payback progress and cumulative revenue on the dashboard.
  • Atome and other BNPL. The amount actually received after fees is recorded and used as the sales commission base.
  • Next-session reminders. The next visit is planned at the treatment’s standard interval, and a WhatsApp reminder is sent automatically.

FAQ

How do I track remaining sessions in a hair removal package?

Keep one package record per customer that shows the sessions left, every session already redeemed and any outstanding balance. Redeem a session in the system each time the customer is treated, so the count is never updated from memory.

Can consumables be deducted automatically for each laser or IPL session?

In MyBMS Pro, yes. When a session is redeemed, the in-house consumables set for that treatment are deducted together with the session.

Who gets the commission for a hair removal package?

The person who sold the package earns sales commission, based on the payment actually collected. The therapist who does each session earns hands-on commission for that session.

Can a customer use her hair removal package at another branch?

Yes, if the system keeps one package record for every branch. In MyBMS Pro, a session can be redeemed at another branch, and commission is routed between branches automatically.

Is there a MyBMS Pro mobile app?

No. MyBMS Pro is a web-based system used in the browser.
