For an embroidery or microblading studio, the touch-up is part of the service the customer has already paid for. Record it as a session in the customer’s package, book it at the timing your studio uses before the customer leaves, and remind her by WhatsApp. When she pays with Atome, record the amount actually received after the platform’s fee and use that as the base for sales commission, so the studio never pays commission on money it did not receive.
Why touch-ups and instalments get messy
- The touch-up is weeks away. Customers forget, change plans, or assume they can come “any time”.
- The touch-up is already paid for. If it is not recorded as part of the package, nobody knows whether it has been done.
- Customers sometimes never return. An unused touch-up is a service the studio still owes, and a customer who skips it may be less happy with the result.
- Atome changes the numbers. The studio receives less than the bill amount, so commission based on the bill pays out more than came in.
- One artist may sell and perform. Or a front-desk staff member sells and the artist performs, which makes commission rules unclear.
A touch-up is a service the customer has already paid for, so it should not depend on her remembering to come back. Schedule it as a session in the package, and the customer feels secure while the studio’s accounts stay clear.

Treat the touch-up as a session, not a favour

- Include the touch-up in the package. Sell the first session and the touch-up together, with the touch-up recorded as a remaining session.
- Book it before the customer leaves. Use the timing your studio normally recommends and put the date in the calendar straight away.
- Remind by WhatsApp. A short reminder before the date reduces no-shows. See reduce salon no-shows with WhatsApp.
- Check unused touch-ups regularly. A remaining touch-up session tells you exactly which customers have not returned. For tracking package sessions and balances, see salon package tracking.
Getting Atome and commission right
- Record the amount actually received. With Atome, the platform’s fee is deducted before the money reaches the studio.
- Pay sales commission on what was received. Use the net amount as the base, in tiers if you use tiers.
- Pay hands-on commission when the work is done. The artist who performs the first session and the touch-up earns hands-on commission for each session.

How MyBMS Pro supports embroidery studios
MyBMS Pro is an AI-driven, next-generation SaaS management hub specifically designed for multi-branch beauty salons. For embroidery studios, these features work together:

- Course and package tracking. The touch-up sits in the package as a remaining session, with history and outstanding balance.
- Automatic interval scheduling and WhatsApp reminders. The next session is planned at the standard interval and a reminder is sent by WhatsApp.
- Atome and BNPL support. The amount received after the platform’s fee is recorded and used as the base for sales commission.
- Two-track tiered commission. Sales commission on total collection; hands-on commission when a session is redeemed.
