Accepting Atome only means your customers can pay in instalments. A salon POS that truly supports Atome should also do four things: record the Atome payment on the same sale, keep the amount you actually receive after the platform fee, calculate sales commission on that amount, and keep the package record correct at every branch. MyBMS Pro works with Atome and other buy now, pay later (BNPL) platforms and uses the amount actually received as the base for sales commission.
Why “we accept Atome” is not enough
Many salons start accepting Atome because customers ask for it, especially for higher-value packages. The payment goes through, the customer is happy, and the front desk moves on.
The problems show up later. At month end, the owner finds Atome payments recorded on paper or in a separate spreadsheet. Sales commission was calculated on the full package price, but the salon received less after the fee. A package paid with Atome was redeemed at another branch, and nobody is sure who should get which commission.
None of this is Atome’s fault. It is a gap between taking the payment and recording it properly in your own system.
Accepting Atome is easy; recording it properly is what protects your margin. I always suggest testing one real Atome sale, from payment to commission, before you choose a system.

Which salon POS in Malaysia supports Atome? Ask these 4 questions

Before you choose a system, ask the vendor to show you these four things in a demo, using one of your real packages.
1. Is the Atome payment recorded on the same sale?
The Atome payment should sit on the same bill as the package or service the customer bought, with Atome as the payment method. If staff have to write it down somewhere else, your sales report and your actual payments will not match at month end.
2. Does the system keep the amount you actually received?
BNPL platforms deduct a fee before they pay the salon. Your system should record the amount actually received, not only the price on the bill. Otherwise your revenue and margin look better on screen than they are in the bank.
3. Is sales commission based on what you actually received?
If commission is calculated on the full package price, you pay commission on money you never received. In MyBMS Pro, sales commission is calculated in tiers on the amount actually collected, and for Atome sales that means the amount received after the fee. For the full explanation, read how to pay commission on Atome sales and why sales commission should follow money collected.
4. Is the package tracked properly from day one?
How the customer paid should not change how the package is tracked. Check that the package shows its remaining sessions, redemption history and any outstanding balance, and that it can be redeemed at the same branch or another branch. Read more about tracking package sessions and balances.
An example (illustrative)
A customer buys a facial package at Branch A and pays with Atome. Consultant Mei made the sale. MyBMS Pro records the sale with the amount actually received after the fee, and Mei’s sales commission is based on that amount.
A few weeks later, the customer redeems a session at Branch B. The package record updates the remaining sessions, the Branch B therapist earns hands-on commission for that session, and the session appears in the cross-branch settlement report. At month end, nobody has to search a notebook to find out how the package was paid. See how cross-branch package redemption works.
How MyBMS Pro handles Atome sales

- BNPL compatible. MyBMS Pro works with Atome and other BNPL platforms.
- Net amount recorded. The amount actually received after the fee is recorded and used as the base for sales commission.
- Two-track commission. Sales commission follows money collected; hands-on commission is triggered when a package session is redeemed.
- Package tracking. Remaining sessions, history and outstanding balance, with redemption at the same branch or another branch.
- Cross-branch routing. Buy at Branch A, redeem at Branch B, with commission routed automatically and a cross-branch settlement report.

FAQ
